Tbh it’s just not how you negotiate or purchase anything of value here in Germany. No matter who you are or how much money you have. Try to go into any car dealerships and act like that and they throw you out even if they get bankrupt by not selling to you. You start a conversation, ask about the seller politely, calmly, etc.

The cop acted like a dick. On the other hand he let the guy off with a warning even though he was nearly 30mph over the speed limit. I’d call that a near miss.

Regarding the ease of learning English as a second language. Well... That really depends... English falls under the Germanic language group. Meaning that many of the sounds you make are rather similar. Making it easier for people of that language group to learn it. English also has quite some French influences, which itself falls under the Latin language group. Latin and Germanic language groups have had a lot of interactions over the centuries. But is further removed, making it more difficult. For speakers of other languages it quickly becomes a lot harder due to the sounds becoming harder to pronounce and the grammar becoming increasingly removed. For me as a Dutchman, (Dutch falls under the Germanic group) it was easy. But for us it also helps we don't usually dub shows, and movies but use subtitles. So we are introduced to it from a fairly early age. I imagine that to people from Japan and China and the like, it is very hard. Some applies vice versa with all these groups languages.

For me, English is a piece of cake because I am German and English is an Germanic language and therefore has a lot of simularities. On the other hand, learning Chinese was hard and still is. My girl is Chinese and for here it is vice versa. Yet I am still impressed how good her German and English (for buisness reasons) has become :)

Actually, it is pretty normal, even if you are white, for people to refuse to deal with you based on your behavior. Most salespeople in Germany don't operate under the logic of "if you can buy, buy," especially car salesmen. The same is true in many other countries around the world. This typical American behavior of "the customer is king" doesn't work here.

Disrespectful is the least you can say. Unfortunately people acting like Speed are the major reason for for racism. He is shouting his questions while recording which is completely illegal in Germany. The average American has the driving skills of a child so asking for a test drive at the Nürburgring is completely insane. Nobody would consider a guy that disrespectful a serious customer. Finally it is the sales guys decision whom he wants to sell the car and does not have to justify his decision. Asking for the price he paid shows that Speed is complete idiot no matter which colour.

If that guy just wanted to flip his car for money without care he'd have done that online. Him being there person shows he has some attachement to it and wants to know it's in good hands afterwards (or he wants to rip the seller off). Just from the clip alone Speed doesn't really seem like "good hands" just from behavior and the questions he asks. Him being filmed also means selling increases his interaction with this clown, so once the red flag "how much did you buy this for" came the seller was out. Getting filmed is VERY rare in germany aswell, so no wonder Speed put the guy off selling to him

The very fact that Americans dare to say in the commentary section about a other nation: "blablabla... Germany is full of racist people...blabla!" but completely forgot their own history and the actual situation. I believe that the US has a much bigger racism problem, especially when it comes to people with black skin. And honestly completely independent of the skin color honestly, such a freaky clown as IshowSpeed, I wouldn't necessarily sell my car in front of a camera. This is what you do in Germany in a private circle and not in front of millions of spectators. The man was not a racist, just pissed off. I'm german btw AND I only watched some Clips aswell, instead of the whole situation on stream. But in my opinion in germany it's not "always" about the money, I GUESS it's more often the case in america. I don't know, I only can take a guess as well and I think the car owner whether knows speed or speed, like often, misbehaved and the car owner simply didn't like speeds additude. Probably he wanna sell his car to person who he thinks, takes care of stuff and honors the value.
